Grant Applications 2025

Grants are available for adult and teen participants. All grants include conference registration ($80 for adults and $40 for students) and lunch at the Colorado Teen Literature Conference, scheduled for Saturday, April 5, 2025 from 8:00am to 4:00pm. Colorado Teen Literature Conference will provide bus passes to teen grant recipients that need and request them.
Grant applications for the 2025 conference are currently open.
All applicants will be notified of final decisions by email.
Grants are awarded after February 15th. If you do not receive a grant you may pay for the conference at any time.
Teen Grants
Each student may only apply for one of the following grants. Students who have received grants in the past are not eligible.
REFORMA Colorado / Teen Connection Panel: Students in grades 6-12 and teens who are homeschooled are eligible to apply. Teens may self-nominate or be nominated by a teacher or librarian. Latino, Latina, and Latine students are encouraged to apply. Ten teens will be selected to ask authors questions for the audience. You will sit at a table in front of an audience of around 200 people and speak into a microphone to ask your questions. To prepare, you will need to read books by keynote authors and prepare up to 5 thoughtful questions to ask.
Colorado State Library: This grant is available to teens (ages 12 to 18), and who are interested in books, writing and literature. The grant is intended to assist a teen who might otherwise not be able to attend.
Adult Grants
Colorado State Library: This grant is available to adults who advocate for teens, and who are interested in young adult literature and authors who write for the teen audience. The grant is intended to assist an adult who might otherwise not be able to attend.
