Teen Connection Panel Grant

IMG_1197.JPG

The Teen Connection Panel is your chance to ask keynote and local author panel authors questions! You will sit at a table in front of an audience of all the other conference attendees and speak into a microphone to ask your questions. To prepare, you will need to read books by the authors and prepare 5 thoughtful questions to ask them. You can ask our committee members for advice on your questions!

These grants include conference registration and lunch at the Colorado Teen Literature Conference scheduled for Saturday, April 5, 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM. Conference participants are responsible for their own transportation to and from the conference.

ELIGIBILITY: Students in grades 6-12 and teens who are home-schooled are eligible to apply. Teens may self-nominate or be nominated by a teacher or librarian. Participants must prepare for the panel discussion by reading books by two of the authors on the panel, and by preparing 5 thoughtful questions or talking points for the discussion. Panelists are expected to attend the entire conference.

All applicants will be notified of final decisions by email, and applicants who do not receive a grant will still have an opportunity to attend the conference if they can find additional funding.   This grant application counts as your registration.  If you are awarded a grant, you do not need to fill out registration.
