About the Colorado Teen Literature Conference

The Colorado Teen Literature Conference is a yearly event held in Colorado to promote and celebrate teen literature. The conference offers diverse sessions thanks to the willingness of knowledgeable librarians, teachers, authors, and teens who share their expertise for the event.

We believe that quality literature for teens and young adults is available in ever increasing amounts but can be under-publicized and under-utilized in many literacy development efforts directed to teens. Because of this, the conference focuses on building a community of teens, readers, writers, authors, and literacy advocates.

Mission Statement:

The mission of the Colorado Teen Literature Conference is to build a community of teens, readers, writers, authors, and literacy advocates.

Essential to our Mission:

  • Foster a passion for reading and writing in teens, educators, and librarians.

  • Connect teens with recognized authors who write for young adults.

  • Stimulate and promote the development of librarians and educators working with young adults.

  • Strive for excellence in all endeavors.
