35th Annual Colorado Teen Literature Conference
Teen Connection Panel 2020

The Teen Connection Panel is your chance to ask authors questions. You will sit at a table in front of an audience of around 300 people and speak into a microphone to ask your questions. To prepare, you will need to read books by both authors and prepare 5 thoughtful questions to ask both the guest authors. Please work with a parent, teacher, or librarian to ensure your questions are suitable and contact us if you need advice.
These grants include conference registration, continental breakfast, and lunch at the Colorado Teen Literature Conference scheduled for Saturday, April 18, 2020, 8:30 AM - 4:00 PM at the Tivoli Conference Center, Auraria Campus, Denver, Colorado. Conference participants are responsible for their own transportation to and from the conference.
There will be featured speakers, and additional workshops and speakers which are scheduled on topics including writing workshops, new books for teens, local authors and publishing. Book sales and author signings are also scheduled.
ELIGIBILITY: Students in grades 6-12 and teens who are homeschooled are eligible to apply. Teens may self-nominate or be nominated by a teacher or librarian. Participants must prepare for the panel discussion by reading at least two books, one by each of the featured authors, and by preparing 5 thoughtful questions or talking points for the discussion. Panelists are expected to attend the entire conference.
The deadline for all grants is February 28, 2020. All applicants will be notified of final decisions by email.
Applicants who do not receive a grant will still have an opportunity to attend the conference if they can find additional funding.
